About & trust
Baringo Honey Marketplace connects honey producers and cooperatives in Baringo County with buyers across Kenya. We do not process payments, take commissions, or inspect honey.
What "verified" means here
In Version 1, a Verified seller badge means an administrator has reviewed the producer's contact details and basic identity. It is not a laboratory test, purity claim, or organic certification.
What we do not claim
- We do not certify any honey as "pure", "organic", or "lab tested".
- We do not guarantee honey quality — always agree terms with the seller directly.
- We do not handle money between buyers and sellers.
How to buy safely
- Contact the seller by phone or WhatsApp.
- Ask about harvest date, container, and how the honey was handled.
- Agree on price, quantity, and delivery before paying anyone.

Privacy notice
We collect the details you submit in the seller application (name, phone, WhatsApp, location, honey details, description, optional harvest date and product photos). We use this information to review applications and publish listings.
Public listings show the producer's name, location, phone and WhatsApp number so buyers can contact them. We never show admin-only notes or internal data.
Photos are stored in Cloudflare R2 and served through our API. Data is stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database. For privacy requests, contact the marketplace admin on WhatsApp.
